Last day we visited Dover port, Windmill Road and Yellow Mustard fields, freestanding clock tower, and finished our day by walking along the North Sea shore, near the historic town of Hunt on Victoria. Today, we will know about the rules of riding the London tube, Visit Madame Tussaud museum, view the London Eye’s city, and spend a good time by the Thames river.

Undergrounds and The Tubes in London

London is a great place for history, culture, and tourism enthusiasts. It is very easy to traverse. The city is historically divided into two parts, the City of Westminster and the City of London. Some other areas joined to form Central London, which is nearly 3 square km only. But greater London with over 1500 square km And the Metropolitan holding over 8000 square kilometers. London is a huge city. So many confuse London with a country.

The best way to travel within the city is the London Underground, which many call the tube or large tube.

Traveling through London Tubes

I have already said that it is very easy to traverse London. Today, my first destination is the Madame Tussaud Museum. And I will try to get there via the London tube. You will need a card, which is called the Oyster card. You can use it either by tube or other transports including bus, tram, and National Railways.

London Tube

You can top up from the Machines at the station or from thousands of top-up stores within the city. The cost between the two stations is £1.5 to £6, depending on the circumstances. To save cost, you may take daily, weekly, monthly contactless, or other passes. Local people who hold any 60+ Oyster card may travel free from 9.30 AM Monday to Friday by National Rail routes. You can find more details on TFL’s website. But bear in mind, London has the most expensive Public Transportation system in the world.

Oyster Card

What you first need to look for while at the tube is the line you are at and the line your destination is at. Some stations have multiple lines and interact with up to 8-10 platform interchanges. Keep a keen eye on the London tube station boards. Please bear in mind, that some interchanges take over a 10-minute walk.

Like a maze, the tunnels are dispersed underground. It also has a reason, 160 years back, when people complained that fires would break out underground or structures would collapse, sending people to their Graves, London shocked the world community by building underground Railways. It took people from the back of horses and mules to the modern Transportation system. On 25th September 1825, the first steam engine commercial passenger Railway was launched. If you face any problem finding a route or station, you can follow google Maps or download the London tube map pdf.

The history of Madame Tussauds

There is a touch of artificiality in the faces of many as there is a natural look here. French artist Marie Rousseau was the first to create wax art in 1777. She got a job teaching at the Palace of Versailles in France. Her talent made a name for herself. After marrying Francois Tussaud, she named her exhibition Madame Tussauds. She came to London in 1802 and got stuck due to his profession. In the battle of Napoleon, she could no longer return to France. She gained a lot of popularity by running exhibitions in Britain. She started the show by building her own house on Baker Street at a low cost. A few years later, the museum opened. And from then until today, Madame Tussauds has been very popular worldwide for 300 years.

Madame Tussauds

In this age of the internet and television, this is not so exciting, but 200 or 150 years ago people couldn’t meet people of that time, but you can go to London and meet at Madame Tussauds. Many people have been dreaming for ages to visit the Madame Tussaud Museum once. I read about Madame Tussaud as a child in the book “Bilete Share Satso Din” by Mohammad Abdul Hai. Mohammad Abdul Hai is a pre-independence writer. If you read his whole article, you can see how shocked he was when he visited Madame Tussauds in London in 1950, almost seventy years ago from today.

Madame Tussauds has now opened branches in many parts of the world, but its main branch remains in London. If you ever travel here, go for history, entertainment, and witnessing the future.

Visiting the Madame Tussaud museum

Next to Baker Street lies the Madame Tussaud Museum. I had to wait in a long queue to enter the museum. The package I bought for Madame Tussaud, i.e., Madame Tussaud + London Eye + London Dungeons + Big bus tour = £55. This package is very effective and cost-efficient. We will see further use of this pass to visit different places. You can also find Madame Tussauds free tickets or discounts on different occasions. Madame Tussauds family tickets are also a cost-efficient package.

The first thing I saw when I entered the museum was Marilyn Monroe. The star of 60 years ago seems to be alive. Leaving her, I had entered the realm of Bollywood and Hollywood Stars. Bollywood stars we all know are Amitabh, Madhuri, Shah Rukh, Deepika, Aishwarya, and many more.

In the first gallery, it looks like the stars had come to take nominations or medals—nobility in everyone’s makeup. Meanwhile, everyone is addicted to taking pictures with their favorite stars. Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, DiCaprio, Emma Watson, and many of my favorite Hollywood stars were there. But keep in mind that the exhibition changes here from time to time so that you may have a different look from time to time.

Then I entered the next gallery through a sci-fi environment. Alien xenomorph and cons color was there. Meanwhile, many have found a place, including ET and Terminator. I met Charlie Chaplin and Oedra Herparnel of the last century.

Then I found Fashion and YouTube Corner as well as Sports Corner. I am not saying the names of the players. You can tell me the name of your favorite players by commenting below.

From the Leaders to Music Stars

You will find many world-famous leaders, King-Queen, poets, Scientists, and many more in the following gallery. Einstein, Newton, Charles Dickens, the first and second Queen Elizabeth, and many of the personalities of the present world were there.

There are music stars in the following gallery. Aidals, Queens, Michele Jackson to stars of modern music, you will see there. Let us know about your music passion in the comment section.

In Madame Tussauds, you have to go up and down the stairs to different galleries one by one. After the Sports gallery, we visited a trendy gallery called Spirit of London Riders. This gallery is actually a ride. This ride tells the story of the Tudor dynasties and all the stories of the plague-stricken and burnt-out London and the modern migration through the industrial eye.

You can see the colorful London of the ’70s and ’80s by taking a black taxi ride.

The last exhibition has a marvel universe show. However, in this show, you will see both Marvel characters and also star wars characters. You can also do some shopping of your choice from a souvenir shop before going out.

The Beautiful London Eye

After visiting Madame Tussaud, we came out. Then we went toward The Tower Bridge. Weather changes here at any time. Thirty minutes ago, it was sunny. But now it’s about to rain. The weather is crazy here.

We had to go through London west Mitcham to visit Tower Bridge. The London eye postcode is SE1, and it will help you to reach the location. Here is another tower. The tallest tower you will see here is called the Sharp.

Suddenly it started raining again, and we had to wait almost 40 min. After the rain had stopped, we crossed the west Mitcham bridge and went to the London Eye.

London eye opening time is 11 AM-6 PM. We got up at the London Eye. That was a great way to get a good look at the historic city. I bought the ticket as a package when I entered Madame Tussauds in the morning.

The London Eye first picked up passengers in 2000. It was launched as a temporary attraction for only five years. However, the authority renewed the contract and gave it a place in the historic city. The London eye height is about 135 meters. It has 32 running capsules that represent the 32 administrative regions of London. Each capsule holds about 25 passengers. You can see the scene of one of the two thousand-year-old remnants of this city. If you want to capture a picture in these capsules, it will charge some extra money. In 30 minutes, the whole round of the London Eye was over. It was a great ride.
